| ShipManager’s Inventory and Purchase module is one of the most user-friendly applications of its category. It supports paperless execution of the entire purchase cycle, which starts with the requisition being made from the ship side, followed by the same being approved on the office side, RFQs being sent from office to various vendors, receipt of quotes from vendors, tallying and comparison of quotes sent in by various vendors, generation of purchase order, acknowledgement of order fulfillment from the ship side and eventually the clearance of the invoice. The module comes with an exhaustive vendor database that can be readily used by purchase managers. The system has been specifically designed to support paperless dispatching of RFQs. Pre-formatted excel sheets can be sent out to selected vendors who in turn have to simply fill up the designated cells of the excel sheet and send the same back to the shipping company’s office. The module can seamlessly import the quotes sent by the various vendors from the excel files received from them. The system also has smart comparison tools to compare the quotes based on a number of parameters including price, lead-time, credit period and so on. |

| ShipManager’s Inventory and Purchase Module is very tightly integrated with its other related modules such as PMS and Budget & Accounting module. The Inventory management system of this module helps track all on-board spares, stores, fuel oils, lubs, bonded stores, charts & publications and provisions. There are smart tools to analyze consumption patterns and current availability, which in turn facilitate effective forecasting and planning of the purchase exercise. The Inventory management system comes pre-loaded with the latest ISSA and IMPA codes. |

- The module can help identify ‘Identical parts’ across all the vessels of a company’s fleet. This feature is especially handy at the time of managing the fulfillment of requisition of a given part from a given vessel with inventory of that part from another vessel of the same company which is geographically not too far away.

- Periodical vendor assessment and provision for black listing a vendor

- Ability to separate preferred and rate contract vendors

- Ability to keep track of parts with ‘Multiple Use’. This comes in handy if a given part being used in a non-critical equipment is to be used to fulfill the requirement of that same part for a critical equipment.

- The close integration between purchase and accounting modules means that an invoice automatically goes to fleet accounts for processing as soon as it’s approved by the purchase manager.

- The module can provide exhaustive reports on ‘Technical Expenses’, detailing the variance of the actual costs incurred on the various heads from what was budgeted for them
