Shipping companies today have to adhere to a complex regime of Safety and Security standards. The complexities of complying with such a regime have meant that traditional paper-based methodologies of managing Safety and Security related audits are rapidly getting outdated. Relying on these traditional methodologies may lead to incomplete recording, which in turn can cause non-compliance with certain regulatory requirement(s). This may result in serious repercussion including the detention of vessel by Port Sate Control authorities.
 
ShipManager’s Safety and Security Management module is a comprehensive solution that helps shipping companies seamlessly and efficiently comply with all the relevant Safety and Security standards. The module can be used to plan audits and also report non-conformities. Furthermore, the module supports tracking of non-conformities until such time that they are resolved. Also there are tools to keep track of safety and security related drills.
 
Last but certainly not the least, incidents / accidents / near misses can be reported and analyzed using this module.

  • Ability to carry out exhaustive planning of audits (duly aided by audit checklists)
  • Supports internal & external audit reports
  • Supports the filing of Non-conformity (NC) observation reports
  • Ability to keep track of preventive and corrective actions being taken to resolve a non-conformity that has been reported
  • The system keeps issuing alerts to highlight a non-conformity until such time that the same is resolved
  • Ability to keep track of the proceedings of Safety meetings / reviews taking place on-board and ashore
  • Scheduling of all the safety / security drills
  • Ability to keep track of the proceedings of drills such as Safety Emergency Response (SERS) and Standard Ship Emergency Exercise (SSEE); the system can help record attendance at these drills;
  • Recording and analysis of incidents / accidents / near misses
